The Laserscope Aura is a 532 wavelength laser used to treat broken blood vessels, redness, telangiectasias and port wine stains. Sun damage and skin discoloration can also be treated and removed with little to no downtime or scarring. Vascular lesions are areas of overgrown or enlarged blood vessels. These areas vary in color from red to purple and range in size from a small spot to large areas over the body.
Overexposure to the sun can make these areas darker so sun protection after having laser treatments is crucial. The light pulses from the laser treatment are absorbed by the blood and blood vessels causing them to gradually dissolve away. The treated area then returns to a natural skin color. In many cases, one treatment often produces outstanding results.
