Dermaplaning is a non-invasive procedure used to minimize fine lines and wrinkles and increase cell turnover in the skin. A surgical blade is carefully used to manually exfoliate the skin and remove fine vellus hairs leaving your skin smooth and healthy. This treatment is sometimes used before chemical peels to help prepare the skin for maximum absorption. It is also a great treatment to get monthly as it helps products at home to penetrate deeper into the skin. Make-up application goes on smoother and provides a better, overall healthy look. Dermaplaning is not painful and takes about 30 minutes to complete. Many people are concerned with hair growing back thicker or darker after having treatment but that is a myth. It is impossible for us to change the vellus (peach fuzz) hair growth on the face as we are only removing it at a surface level.
